Festus, MO — A 13-year-old girl who was reported missing early Wednesday morning from her home in Festus has been found safe, according to local authorities. She had last been seen at her residence around 1:15 a.m. on July 30.

Twin City News confirmed that the girl was located at approximately 2:00 p.m. this afternoon in Maryland Heights, MO in the company of a 24-year-old man.

Her family reported her missing when they discovered she was no longer at home and were unable to contact her. It was stated that her phone had been turned off, preventing law enforcement from tracking her location.

Officials say the investigation is ongoing and more information will be released as it becomes available.
