FESTUS, Mo. (Nov. 7, 2025) — A three-vehicle collision occurred early Wednesday morning on Highway 67 just south of Interstate 55 in Jefferson, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report.

The crash happened at about 6:10 a.m. when a northbound 1999 Mack truck driven by a 49-year-old man from Mounds, Oklahoma, struck the rear of a 2012 Subaru Impreza, also traveling northbound. The impact caused the Subaru to collide with a 2006 Jeep Wrangler ahead, authorities said.

Investigators reported that the Mack truck’s driver failed to maintain a proper lookout and was following too closely. The Jeep and Subaru had slowed due to traffic congestion when the crash occurred.

The Subaru’s driver, a 22-year-old man from Bonne Terre, Missouri, sustained minor injuries and was taken by personal conveyance to Mercy Hospital Jefferson.

All three vehicles were driven from the scene. Each driver was wearing a seat belt and was insured through Progressive, according to the patrol.
