Jefferson County, MO – A Festus woman has been charged with third-degree domestic assault following an incident late last month that left a female relative injured, according to court records filed on Sept. 10, 2025.

Brandy J. Harmon, age 33, of Festus, MO is accused of striking the victim in the face and head multiple times during a verbal altercation on Aug. 25, 2025. Deputies responding to a disturbance call found the victim with a 1- to 2-inch laceration above her left eyebrow and a contusion under her right eye, according to a probable cause statement filed by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.

Both the victim and a witness reported that Harmon, a blood relative who resides with the victim, hit her with a closed fist during the confrontation.

The Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney has charged Harmon with one count of domestic assault in the third degree, a Class E felony under Missouri law. If convicted, Harmon faces penalties outlined in Sections 558.011 and 558.002 of the Missouri Revised Statutes.
