Crystal City, MO – A Crystal City man has been charged with felony drug possession and a misdemeanor traffic offense stemming from an April 2023 incident, according to the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office who filed the complaint on August 27, 2025.
Travis Dallas, age 43, of Crystal City is accused of possessing methamphetamine on or about April 20, 2023, in Jefferson County. Prosecutors allege the man knowingly possessed the controlled substance in violation of Missouri law. The charge is classified as a class D felony under Section 579.015 of the Revised Statutes of Missouri. Dallas’ arraignment is scheduled for Sept. 8, 2025.
According to the charging documents, the defendant is a prior and persistent offender, with two previous felony convictions for first-degree stalking. Both convictions were handed down on May 24, 2021, in Missouri’s 21st Judicial Circuit Court for offenses occurring in July and October of 2020.
Due to these prior convictions, the defendant is subject to enhanced sentencing and may face penalties associated with a class C felony under Missouri law.
In a separate count, the defendant is also charged with a class B misdemeanor for failure to register a motor vehicle. Authorities say the defendant operated an unregistered vehicle on Highway MM on the same date, in violation of Section 301.020 RSMo.
