Imperial, MO – On July 21, 2025 at approximately 9:15 pm, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a vehicle crash on Interstate 55. According to the MSHP, a 2006 Chevy Silverado driven by a 69-year-old male from House Springs, MO was disabled in the breakdown lane heading southbound. A 2013 Chevy Cruze being driven by a 25-year-old female from Wood River, Il failed to be observant enough to avoid a collision with the Silverado. The southbound lane was closed temporarily before being reopened after the crash scene was cleared.

Both drivers were transported by the Rock Township Ambulance to Mercy Hospitals with moderate injuries. Both vehicles were totaled and towed by Miner’s Towing.
