Festus, MO – A three-vehicle crash on Interstate 55 just north of the Festus exit slowed traffic Thursday morning as emergency crews responded to the scene.

The crash occurred at approximately 9 a.m. and involved a McCains box truck, a blue Mustang and a 2016 Nissan, according to police. The Festus Police Department and Festus Fire Department responded, and Joachim-Plattin Ambulance transported two individuals to a nearby hospital. The extent of their injuries was not immediately available.

The police report does not indicate who was at fault in the crash. Traffic was partially blocked during the investigation, causing delays in the area.

McCains dispatched another box truck to recover items from the one involved in the crash.
