Leadwood, MO – On July 18. 2025 at approximately 4:30 pm, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a pedestrian was hit by a car in Leadwood. According to the MSHP, a 2008 Cadillac Escalade driven by a 28-year-old male from Leadwood was traveling southbound on Warner Street. A 71-year-old female from Leadwood was attempting to cross the cross by Hunt Street. The Escalade attempted to turn left and failed to observe the pedestrian already in the roadway. The pedestrian tried to back up away from the SUV but she was hit by the front right side of the vehicle.

The 71-year-old female was transported by the St. Francois County Ambulance to the Parkland Health Center in Farmington with moderate injuries.
