ST. LOUIS, Mo (Nov. 6, 2025) — Ameren Missouri announced a $25,000 contribution to its Veterans Fund in partnership with the United Way, bringing the total available assistance to more than $90,000 for active-duty military members and veterans facing challenges paying their energy bills.
Eligible customers can apply to receive up to $600 per household. Applications can be made by calling the United Way at 2-1-1 or 1-800-427-4626. Applicants must provide proof of veteran or active-duty military status and show that their account is past due, disconnected, or at risk of disconnection.
“Together with Ameren Missouri, we’re committed to providing the support our veterans need to keep their homes warm and their families safe,” said Michelle Tucker, president and CEO of United Way of Greater St. Louis.
Since its launch in 2018, the Ameren Missouri Veterans Fund has provided more than $425,000 in energy assistance to more than 1,250 veteran and military families statewide.
“When our veterans or military families are facing a financial hardship, we want them to know they are not alone,” said Joe Solari, Ameren Missouri vice president of customer experience. “This fund is just one way to say thank you and to stand beside our incredible military community.”
Additional energy assistance options are available for Ameren Missouri customers, including the Ameren Energy Relief Grant, Dollar More, Clean Slate, New Start Energy Relief and Weatherization Assistance programs.
Ameren Missouri will also host several webinars this month to help customers manage their energy needs, including Energy Assistance Options on Nov. 7 at 11 a.m., Reducing Your Energy Bill on Nov. 20 at 10 a.m., and Health and Safety Options on Nov. 21 at 10 a.m.
