FESTUS, Mo. (Oct. 4, 2025) — The Lenhard Family Light Show is back this October with a spooktacular Halloween edition at Crites Park, promising another dazzling — and free — community event.

After working throughout the summer to craft this year’s animated display, the Lenhard family started this year’s debut of the seasonal light show on Friday, Oct. 3 at approximately 7:45pm. The show will go on Saturday and Sundays nights from 7:30-10pm. It will resume on Thursday, Oct 9 and then on all following nights, the show will run from 7:30 to 10 pm.

Visitors are encouraged to drive in, find a parking spot, and tune their radios to a designated digital station — which will be announced before the show begins — to experience the synchronized musical display. Attendees are kindly asked to be considerate with their headlights when arriving late or leaving early.

Parking is available in two areas: guests may back in against the woods across from the stage field or pull onto the stage field via the gravel entrance located just behind and to the right of the stage. Exiting vehicles should use the back of the field, turning right at the bathroom and passing between the wooden bollards.

The event is sponsored by the Lenhard Family and Festus Tourism, and is open to the public at no cost.
