Festus, MO – A Festus woman has been charged with felony drug possession related to a domestic assault incident back in June in Festus, MO, according to a criminal complaint filed by the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
Nicole Beth Worth, age 43, of Festus, faces one count of possession of a controlled substance, a class D felony.
Authorities allege the incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. on June 15. According to the complaint, Worth assaulted a man she was romantically involved with by striking him several times with a closed fist. The victim was not injured.
During a tow inventory search of Worth’s vehicle, deputies reportedly found an unmarked pill bottle containing 58 orange pills marked “E404” in the front driver-side door. The pills were later identified as amphetamine, a controlled substance.
Prosecutors say Worth knowingly possessed the pills and have requested a summons in the case. She and the victim do not currently reside together, officials noted.
The above charges are mere accusation and not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
