Festus, MO – A St. Louis man has been charged with a first-degree felony for allegedly committing a criminal offense involving a 12-year-old female victim on two separate occasions in December 2023, according to documents submitted to the Jefferson County Court by the Festus Police Department.
According to court records, Cameron Jesse McClung, age 20, of St. Louis is accused of statutory rape in
the first-degree violating Section 566.032 of the Revised Statutes of Missouri, which addresses first-degree offenses against minors. McClung is also charged with class C felony of child molestation in the third-degree. McClung allegedly had intercourse with the 12-year-old victim including putting his hand around the victim’s neck and choking her while having intercourse.
Prosecutors allege the offenses took place between Dec. 1 and Dec. 31, 2023 at the victim’s residence within the city limits of Festus. If convicted, McClung faces a prison sentence of a minimum of 5 years under Section 566.032, including lifetime supervision under Sections 217.735 and 559.106, RSMo.
