Pevely, MO – Two vehicles were totaled and two people, including an infant from Festus, were injured Monday afternoon in a collision on U.S. Highway 61 near Landmark Manor Drive, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred around 4 p.m. in the northbound lanes when a 2022 Toyota Tacoma struck the rear left side of a 2015 Infiniti Q70L. Investigators said the driver of the Toyota failed to keep a proper lookout before the collision.

Both vehicles were heavily damaged and were towed from the scene by Miner’s Towing.

The 26-year-old woman from Festus driving the Infiniti and a female infant passenger suffered minor injuries. They were transported by Joachim-Plattin Ambulance to St. Louis Children’s Hospital. Both were wearing safety restraints, officials said.

The driver of the Toyota, a 23-year-old man from Arnold, was not injured. He was also wearing a seatbelt.
