Festus, MO – On August 2, 2025 at approximately 9:00 pm, Festus Police and Festus Fire responded to a report of a vehicle hitting a pedestrian in the Walmart parking lot. According to Festus Police, a man and woman were walking in front of the Murphy Gas Station with their dog. A Black 2014 GMC Terrain drove by and struck the woman and the dog.

The woman was transported to the hospital by Joachim Plattin Ambulance with moderate injuries. The condition of the dog is unknown at this time. The names of the individuals involved are being kept confidential to respect their privacy.
