Dennis “Wayne” Hahn, age 75, of Crystal City, Missouri, passed away Wednesday October 1, 2025, at his home. He was born June 15, 1950, in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of the late Helen Marie (nee Gehrs) and Paul Theodore “Ted” Hahn.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years Sue Hahn; daughters Terri (Tim) Linderer of Festus, Missouri and Amanda (Austin) Willis of Pevely, Missouri; son Eric Wayne (Candace) Hahn of Pevely; grandchildren Zachary (Sara) Giambalvo, Kyle Giambalvo, Hunter Ellsworth, Alexis Hahn and Nolan Hahn; and great-grandchildren Jack and Juno Giambalvo.

He served as an Aerographer’s Mate in the U.S. Navy, achieving the rank of Petty Officer, 1st Class. He enjoyed working as an electrician at the St. Louis Zoo. He loved attending his grandchildren’s many different activities. His passions included a love of airplanes and flying. His favorite was the Blue Angels. He also loved music and playing bass guitar in several bands, the most recent being the Worship Band at Good News Community Church.

A celebration of Wayne’s life will be held at Good News Community Church of Festus, on Saturday October 11, 2025, officiated by Pastor Justin Metiva. Visitation is at 10:00 AM with a service to follow at 11:00 AM. Interment was in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Memorials in his memory are preferred to Good News Community Church Worship Ministry or the Wounded Warrior Project.
